Clubs
Last week on Friday the 27th every student went to their club they picked a couple of weeks ago. I picked scrapbooking, why because I want to do something new and I haven't really done it that much, and then I have a place for my memories to go.


All I really expected was just coloured/patterned paper and coloured card and of course pens and pencils. But when I entered the room I saw all sorts of things like coloured/pattend paper, stickers, card, glitter, pencils/coloured pencils, pens, foam stickers, rulers, feathers, buttons and I think that was all of the stuff we got to use. We had a little chat and then we got to start, when we had an idea about what we were going to do.


I quite enjoyed how you got to do you own stuff and it was kinda like freestyle. Milly and i decide to do a concertina fold book were you get a piece of card or paper of any colour you want and book  then you concertina fold it and then you get lots of cardboard and wrap the card and glue some fabric on the card. And then on the concertina foled paper you can add you photos. Milly is doing her book about her holiday in Auckland and I will be doing it about all my A&P shows on Goldie.


I think my goal will be for me is to get this book done in time and enjoy the Friday afternoons and have fun with my friends.

Here is Milly's, Zoe's and I ANZAC presentation about Medical First Aid that we made on iMovie. It may not be the best because we had to make a completely new one. Hope you enjoy.

Cross country

 The day had come Wednesday the 18th, cross country day. I could tell in everybody's eyes they were not happy this day had come. We got there at 12:00, we had to wait a while before the year 7s (my group) got to race. The waiting felt like torcher because every time a race finished  I knew it was getting closer to my race. Finally we got called to line up and get ready we sat waiting patiently knowing the race was close in the cold wind but a blue sky with barely any clouds. About 20 mins after we got called up to get ready, it's finally our turn I didn't know what feeling I was going through at the time excitement or nervousness I couldn't choose, everyone else said they felt like they were going to be sick. The teacher come over with the clappers. I felt sick, at that time I knew how I felt. On you marks, get set, GO!! We all raced off. Up the hill round the rugby field, going round the rugby field made me start to puff. Then we all ran down the hill and around half the rugby field at the bottom and then entered the forest. I couldn't pass Annabelle because it was single file path. Annabelle was in front of me the whole time but when we got out of the forest and went around the little rugby field at the back I passed her, straight after I passed Annabelle I could hear mum cheer me on. After we went around the little field we went round the bottom field again and finished round about were we started. I was really puffed but I keep going. When I finished I could hardly breath. In the end I got 2nd.

Mt. Richardson

On Friday the 13th the whole school climbed Mt Richardson. There were 3 groups, 2 junior and a senior group. I was in the senior group, we left school at 9:00 then when we got there we had a little chat and a number off and then we started the climb at 9:30. We walked for an hour before morning tea. I would say it took about 3 hours to get to the summit. Up at the summit we all had lunch for 30 minutes in the freezing cold, then after lunch we all headed back down. It took about 2 and a half hours to get down. You may be thinking that it was easier getting down but it wasn't because when you go down you are jumping down all the time and slipping and one time going down I slid into the splits. Going up and down was about the some amount of pain.

Greymouth

In the holidays for Anzac weekend my family and I went to greymouth it took about 4 hours to get there. We stayed there for 3 days. On the 2nd day we went to pancake rocks, we did the walk around and saw all the blowholes. I really liked the chimney blowhole because every time the water would crashdown at the bottom the water would spray out of the chimney hole like smoke on a cold day when the fire was on.

Mass, Explain everything
